Mia’s Tyler’s fans first knew her as a groundbreaking plus-sized model but they’ve come to know and respect her because of the advice and motivation she provides to the disillusioned and disenfranchised. From People magazine to the Tyra Banks daytime talk show, Mia has been embraced not just as a survivor but as an inspiration who defines beauty inside and out.

She’s the daughter of Aerosmith’s legendary lead singer Steven Tyler and ‘70s It Girl Cyrinda Foxe, whose transcendental blond looks inspired David Bowie’s classic song “The Jean Geanie.” Mia grew up in rural New Hampshire and New York City. In 1996, she launched a groundbreaking career as a plus-sized model, posing in her first job for legendary photographer Francesco Scavullo. Scavullo had, coincidentally, shot her mother at the same age.

The first plus-sized model to appear in Seventeen magazine, Mia graced the pages of Vogue, Italian Vogue , Vanity Fair, Marie Claire, People, YM, Jump, Teen People, and numerous other publications. Thanks to a rare combination of beauty, personality, sexiness, and candor, she walked runways for dozens of fashion lines in New York and Paris, including Lane Bryant, and saw her popularity continue to surge with appearances on television series such as the Tyra Banks Show, MTV’s House of Style , VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club, and Oxygen’s top-rated beauty contest Mo’Nique’s Fat Chance. Producer-director Brett Ratner recently cast her in a movie that shoots in Feburary 2007.

Mia maintains an immensely popular, personal, and active site on My Space (myspace.com/miatyler), where she shares advice and thoughts on topics ranging from relationships to alcoholism to her favorite movies, music, and television programs. Her site boasts more than 30,000 “friends” and millions more fans who enjoy her opinions and advice. “I am the great big mouth,” she jokingly says of her occupation.

She’s also wise not beyond but because of her years. “Life isn’t about finding yourself,” Mia says. “Life is about creating yourself.”
